Biography
I was born in Warwickshire in 1956 and spent much of my early life wandering in the woods and fields of the leafy county. I have always been a passionate lover of wildlife and have drawn and painted birds for as long as I can remember.I prefer watercolour for birds, hopefully handled with a light touch, as I feel it is best way to represent their quick-silver vitality. I am increasingly finding myself painting cattle in oils as I am fascinated by their grand, monumental shapes.
I have travelled widely in Europe, the USA and Africa and carry a sketchbook wherever I go. I recently launched the highly successful British Birds Collection of signed limited edition prints.
My paintings and prints are in collections in Britain, Europe, Canada, Australia and the USA.
For many years I have owned and run the Right Angle Gallery in Brackley, Northamptonshire, with my wife Val.
